William Zanatta, President of the Peruvian-Italian cultural association AMANECER. “Amanecer” has donated 174 books to the library in Anapia Island. Amanecer has helped also in the selection and organization of the books. They also distributed 200 little books of Peruvian history to many local students., AMANECER has also help the Italian School “Liceo Ferraris” to buy educational books for the community of Llachon. They also donated a computer for the library in the community of Llachon.

Nina Fogelman from Ancient Summit Enterprises. Inc. Nina Folgeman is an American Travel Agent with so much love for Peru and its people. We sincerely appreciate all the support she is providing to our cultural tours in Amantani and Sillustani.

Arizona Reading Associationn, the Greater Paradise Valley Reading Council and Mrs. Barbara Gowan. AWT team and the young students from the public schools from the rural communities of Atuncolla and Capachica are specially grateful to Barbara Gowan and to the Greater Paradise Valley Reading Council of Arizona Reading Association (ARA). Your help and donations are bringing much needed literacy to many children and young people from the rural areas of Lake Titicaca. The more than 125 children's books sent by ARA have been distributed in 3 schools: INSTITUCION ALTERNANCIA AMANECER QOLLA" from the rural community of Ticani Pampa , INSTITUCION EDUCATIVA 70016 from the rural community of CCOTOS, INSTITUTO DE EDUCACION PRIMARIA 70042 from the community of Urinsaya". The young students between 10 and 15 years old form the different schools are enjoying reading the books. Also, we very much appreciate ARA' members' continuous efforts to collect money for buying more books.

Laura Kurland from United States and Enrique Nunez from Peru. Laura and Enrique are a dynamic young couple who is supporting all our efforts to promote a different kind of tourism in Puno. Laura has a Master's degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution and and she is an enthousiastic supporter of the literacy project in Lake Titicaca. Enrique runs MOJSA restaurant (our favorite restaurant in Puno www.mojsarestaurant.com) and together with Laura are trying to help small local farmers by including local products in their menu and paying fair price for the products.

Robert Lombardo (father), Eirin Lombardo (daughter) and their family from FL, USA. The Lombardo family has donated money to purchase more books and bring knowledge to kids and students from the communities. The books we bought have great educational value and are currently use by children and students from Amantani island.

The parents, students and teachers from "Gli Amici of the Italian Liceo Ferraris". The indigenous families of the community of Llachon want to express its sincere gratitude to the group of Liceo Ferraris. The group has donated 2740 Euros to the community to implement the project for providing drinking water to the local families. With this important donation they are buying the materials to install a system of drinking water for more than 100 local families in Llachon.

GRASSROOTS (GR) and Fay Schaw. Fay owns and runs GR a socially responsible company from New Zealand. GR student groups coming to Puno have brought much-needed books and great educational materials for the community of Anapia island.

Beatriz and Stephen Knight from England. They stayed in Anapia for 2 weeks and provided English classes to children and adults in Anapia island.

Molly Holmberg, an enthusiastic Geology student from the USA. Molly has spent many weeks living in different communities of Lake Titicaca. Her legacy was wonderful handmade map and plots for the communities she has visited.

Anne Schultz, tourism student from Germany. Anne made practical training in AWT for a period of 3 months. She has done a lot for our company but most especially she has inspired our staff with her positive energy and willingness to enjoy life fully. She has been the German teacher of many locals in Puno.

Rafo Leon, a well-known Peruvian journalist who has visited the ecotourism project of Anapia island and help to promote this tourism destination. Rafo also left a contribution to the community library of the island.

Cecilia Rafo, Editor of the tourism magazine BIENVENIDA. Cecilia strives to promote new community-based tourism destinations in Peru.

Walter Wust, a professional Peruvian photographer and editor who has helped us to promote Anapia island and the region of Lake Titicaca.

Paradise Press, USA Company. This company has donated 200 children books through our traveler friend Laurie Leitch from USA.

Kristina Schumacher, a teacher in the secondary school "Cato Bontjes Van Beek-Gymnasium" in the city of Achem. Germany. Young students from this school have donated 500.00 $ to buy books for the children of Anapia Island
